Zebra

Go Back

(Equus spp)

Efficient grazers and always fat despite of possible drought.  Stallions are always kicking, biting and fighting amongst each other.  Are known to kill another stallions young to ensure its own offsprings place in the pride. Its very difficult to determine the sex of a zebra, the stallions are a little bigger with a larger head. There is more brown between the stripes of a stallion.    The family group will be led by a mare when spooked and the stallions would keep towards the back and will keep looking back .

Zebras are more active during the early morning and late afternoon.  They are frequent drinkers.
